Grw refers to the knowledge and skills related to consuming and producing written language. People with high Grw read with little effort and write with little difficulty. Although this is identified as a broad ability within the CHC model, none of the children's intelligence tests mentioned on this website measure Grw directly. Instead, standardized measures of academic achievement (such as the Woodcock-Johnson-III Tests of Achievement and the Wechsler Individual Achievement Test - III) are used to measure the broad and narrow abilities encompassed by Grw and Gq.
